Proto-AVR is a rapid prototyping platform for electronics and micro-controller programming. The platform is designed to be used by anyone from beginners to professionals to learn, develop and create. The platform illustrates the concept of programming with electronics and the physical realm of micro-controller control.

Proto-AVR is an program created and developed by Michael Kehoe(University of Queensland, Australia).

The platform builds on parts of the Wiring and Arduino projects and attempts to extend their ideas to make development easier, faster and more powerful.
